A Google user: The current version of MS Edge browser app on my SS Ultra 22 crashes everytime I try use any functions under the Settings command button, especially when attempting to review my passwords list everytime. I have sent my crash reports to Google and MS with no resolutions. Please fix NOW!!! BTW I am using another browser as default and will switch based how long it takes to fix this issue compared to my new browser selection.

Escence: Update: Quit blacking out my phone screen. Like seriously? Now nothing about this app wants to open lately. The home page is broken, Comes up blank. Blacks out my phone screen constantly, very buggy to the point where i can’t click on anything, this all started 5 years ago. Now the page flickers and crashes. It already crashed 3x during the last time i said anything. How disappointing that this keeps up after 5 years. About ready to vote no on Edge. Automated responses, frustrating. Uninstalled.

Shawn Fox: Yes, at it’s core it’s yet another Chrome browser (Chromium). Sure, I see the potential cataclysm that could unfold under compete lack of diversity. 1?(browser) to control them all by way of virus that navigates, twists, & worms around the same corners, nooks & crannies just beneath the mask of a UI that makes it look incredibly different. Leading to a take down of the internet: every computer, phone, & ? Newtown PDA! Everybody! (but for Firefox). vs Free? MS rewards. I take the?.

Doug Rohr: After the latest update, I’m unable to even open the app for almost a month. The Edge logo pops up but nothing further after that. I don’t even receive error message aside from being told that it’s unresponsive. Have been using Chrome out of necessity & I’m not sure what else needs to be done to get it to function properly again.

JarOCats: In a word: slow. Much laggier than Chrome itself. I was hoping speed would convince me to switch to Edge from Chrome, but nope — it’s a painful, slow grind to load even the simplest of Web pages. I’ll come back again in another few years, as I always do, to see if things have changed. Uninstalling.

Brett Deriso: Open Tab Syncing Across Devices Broken. I’ve “reset sync” numerous times to no avail. Logged in to the same profile in Edge desktop and my phone and tablet, yet sometimes takes HOURS for open tabs to sync across platforms. I see lots of people online complaining about this since the feature was introduced, and there doesn’t seem to be a solution. This is the only thing keeping me from ditching Chrome. Fix it.

Matt Bowgren: Just got a new Pixel 6 Pro. Installed Edge and it’s still crashing constantly. UPDATE: Started crashing constantly. Tried clearing cache, then data, uninstall and reinstall, restarting device, and no luck. Uninstalled and went back to Chrome after over a year of using Edge. Will try again in a month to see if the issue was fixed. Better than Chrome. I particularly like the collections.

Sagan Android: Edge used to be my go-to browser on Android. Since they added that little 3-dot oval to the bottom of the window, the browser doesn’t work right. Pressing those three dots either does nothing or brings up a white blank rectangle. I no longer see any way to access any of the usual browser menus that are critical. Only gadgets now visible are tabs, link-copy, reload icon & accounts+, & some accessibility option in the URL bar. Android 9 on Moto X4

Muthu (MJ): There are couple of things which really raise the concern while using this browser comparing with other leading browsers out there. 1. Sharing data with third-party. 2. Data not encrypted during transit. I believed Microsoft is more concerned on user data privacy, which even they advertise with this browser and then makes app less secure and Sharing your data with third-party is not acceptable. Hope Microsoft can do even better on privacy and users data. I will switch back once they do it.

Anthony Clark (Tony): The design,layout and ease of use has me sold on this Browser. It’s easy to find and get to your browser tools and functions. Adding Extensions are very easy to do. Some of the Extensions are practically must haves. I’ve had trouble getting “Screenshots” with all browsers used before. With Edge, no problem. Screenshots are a breeze.
